CEPI Meets Antonio Jaume
Antonio Jaume
Board of Directors

1. What key objectives and experiences from your work with CGCAFE would you like to see reflected at a European level through CEPI?
At CGCAFE, we have worked to consolidate professional standards, promote continuous training, and protect consumers. I would like CEPI to further promote a harmonized European framework for qualifications and best practices, as already reflected in initiatives like EUREDUC and MMCEPI. I also believe it is essential to strengthen the role of professionals in the green transition and enhance engagement with European institutions to influence relevant legislation.
2. What specific priorities / initiatives do you hope to bring to the Board?
I aim to bring a practical vision to integrate sustainability into property management and to reinforce technical training. I will promote the development of common standards in energy efficiency and encourage further professionalization across Europe. I’m also committed to strengthening dialogue with EU institutions to ensure coherent implementation of regulations.
3. What do you see as the major challenges and growth areas for real estate professionals across Europe in the coming years?
The main challenges include adapting the building stock to sustainability criteria, sector digitalization, and updating professional skills. Growth opportunities lie in developing common standards, cross-border cooperation, and increasing transparency to boost consumer trust.
4. Quality standards are a major focus of CEPI. As a representative from CGCAFE, how would you like to see CEPI strengthen standards across member organizations, and what role could the MMCEPI quality label play in this process?
I would like CEPI to push for greater harmonization in training, ethics, and best practices. The MMCEPI label can be a key tool to identify the most qualified professionals, generate trust, and support mutual recognition between countries. Its development will help raise standards and credibility across the European real estate sector.
5. CGCAFE has been working on building renovation for years now, what steps could the EU take to help national associations reach their goals faster?
The EU can support progress by increasing funding for energy-efficient renovations, simplifying access to European funds, and promoting more uniform legal frameworks. Joint training programs and public awareness campaigns would also be helpful. Close collaboration between EU institutions and professional associations is essential to ensure faster and more effective implementation.
